Nikon’s ECLIPSE Ji Smart Imaging System is a revolutionary effort to streamline research imaging workflows. The Ji includes preconfigured and optimized turnkey assay experiments by automatically conducting sample imaging, analysis, and report generation with only the click of a button.

Challenges

Imaging-based applications that prioritize speed and throughput, such as high-content screening, are ill-suited for manual microscopes where the microscopist must methodically scan a specimen and adjust imaging settings such as the focus and exposure. Moreover, manual workflows are highly sensitive to the biases and experience of the scientist driving the microscope.

Solutions

The Nikon BioImaging Lab offers Intelligent Image acquisition and analysis services with possible semi-automation. NBIL can perform automated turnkey Smart experiments using the ECLIPSE Ji. Smart Experiment workflows perform image acquisition, analysis and report generation with only a few clicks of the mouse. With these well-defined, simple and repeatable Smart Experiments you can achieve interpretable readouts such as nuclear intensity, endocytosis or transfection efficiency.

However, if the imaging and analysis goal requires flexibility outside the scope of these standard turnkey assays, NBIL can customize Intelligent Imaging and Analysis service workflows to meet your needs, such as implementing custom AI segmentation, conditional imaging, and two-pass low-mag/high-mag imaging. These tools get you higher quality data faster with a reduced data handling burden.
