The clinical lab setting is one of the fastest-evolving areas in science. So it’s no wonder that clinical lab microscopes, as a result, are rapidly changing to meet the ever-increasing need for accuracy, speed and a narrower field of focus that work in the profession now requires.

Recently, Ron Zibilich, national clinical sales manager for Nikon Instruments Inc., spoke to Gary Turfel of Clinical Lab Products about what’s happening in the field. In addition to the above changes within microscopes, Ron discusses the need for increased adaptability and security within labs, particularly as the use of digital cameras and collaboration continue to rise.
