Switch the objective lens.
- Adjust the focus using your dominant eye, or either your left or right eye.
- Switch the objective lens to 40X.
- Rotate the coarse focus knob until there is a space approximately 0.5 mm between the objective and the specimen’s coverglass.
- Slowly lower the stage to adjust the focus.
