In general, the diopter between the left and right eyes varies from person to person.
The diopter correction rings of the left and right eyepieces should be adjusted to the diopter difference of the observer to minimize fatigue during observation.
Flow of diopter adjustments
Please do the following.
①Turn the coarse focus knob to raise the stage to the upper limit, then turn the focus knob with the 10X objective lens to lower the stage and focus on the sample.
②Switch to the 40X objective and once again bring the specimen in focus.
③Switch to the 10X objective again, adjust the focus by individually rotating the diopter rings on the left and right eyepieces. Repeat steps ② and ③ twice to eliminate the diopter visual differences between the left and right eyepieces.
Adjusting the diopter ring with the engraved baseline
Adjust the diopter rings on the left and right eyepieces to align with the bottom edge of the engraved baseline.
Specimen mounting
Place the specimen slide on the stage with the coverglass facing upward.
Hook your finger on the bent part, open the moveable claw of the specimen holder, and fix the specimen slide with the claw.
Adjusting the focus
Put the 10X objective in the optical path, look into the eyepiece lens, and focus on the specimen.
