How to use the ECLIPSE Ji Tutorial Demo
The step & skip bar at the top of the screen and the operation explanation window on the right side of the screen are unique to the ECLIPSE Ji tutorial demo and are not displayed on the actual NIS-Elements screen.
Click on the step & skip bar to skip/return to the desired operation step.
Click the arrow on the right side of the screen to open the operation explanation window. Click on the text to move to each step.
After image acquisition, analysis begins automatically.
All wells selected for acquisition: Perform preview imaging on all wells where main imaging is performed.
User-defined wells: Perform preview imaging on wells selected by the user.
Enter the “Experiment Name” and the “Plate ID”.
*Assay, User and Data are auto-filled.
*The information entered in the Note field will be displayed on the Assay Results Display screen.
A 4x objective lens scans four lines. The Ji is assessing the number of wells in the plate.
The Ji is now searching for wells with cells.
The Ji has located the cells. The Ji is now searching for the focal plane. The Ji locates the focal plane.
Continuous scanning to the last well.
Moves to the well with cells. Autofocus starts.
Labeling and entering dosing information. Pink dot notifies that the Ji has determined this is a well with no cells.
Select the wells to acquire images.
For each selected well, the Ji calculates the optimal exposure conditions and finds focus automatically.
Move to the first well, then acquire images of each well.
